Gale says that he’ll tell David, and Tara responds that he’s too nice to do it (Gale corrects that to “chicken” in his head), and also Brennan knows anyway. (Maybe implying that David cheated on her, too.)

“I’m sorry.”

“No more apologies. Seriously, quit being so Canadian. What’s the use in apologizing for every little thing? It makes me feel kinda awkward.”

“I see.”

“And remember, we’re still getting drinks next time.”

“Okay.”

“I have your number now. I’ll call you sometime. Hang in there until then!”

She hangs up. He rips up her business card imagining it’s her delicate little body, and then is about to block her number but instead pulls out the Baileys.

Tara calls Gale Dorothy, and it jars him because that was how he thought of her. Once again, he misunderstood her. What she meant was, he was once home to her and she wanted nothing more than to return to him. But she has since found her place in Oz.
