Paul Graham's article notes that there are objective answers to questions but clarifies not that the questions asked come from bias. Mind is bias, no matter how cosmopolitan or woke or based one is.
A "small identity" mindset serves the more transparent common lenses of a group of people, esp. those in our culture favoring empiricism, logic, rights, and egalitarianism. Due to their contextual ubiquity, they are not even seen as identity.
The idea that we alone have no accent and no culture is an arrogant meme. In fact, it is the height of hubris. What can we expect? At the base of identity is our sense of self. (I am a contrarian.)
