Years ago, before I came to believe in Yahweh, I was a biology student in a small university town that was always touted as “the future”. The years have come to prove that nothing good came from pursuing the life sciences as anything more serious than a beach read diversion, but back then my parents’ goal of me becoming a doctor was alive and well, as at that point I had not yet lost my mind.
