Twinkling
“Do you like the moon?” I asked innocently.
“I like the moon as much as I like an oasis in the desert, or an oxygen tank in deep space.” Levi grinned, but there was no mirth on his face. “Before humanity eradicated the night with science, the moon was the only way we had of seeing the path ahead.”
“But couldn’t you follow the stars?” I countered half-heartedly. “Sailors did that in a book I read.”
